Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote

With a Thirty Million gross sales on Christmas Day, Agimat and Enteng was surely a must see movie for the kids. I brought my kids this afternoon at SM Mall of Asia to watch a movie, I let them choose between RPG Metanoia and Agimat and they chose Agimat and Enteng. All seats were taken and I'm confident that Part 2 will be a great hit too. Makoy laughed as if there's no more tomorrow!

Christmas Prayer

Merry Christmas to all and let us not forget the true essence of Christmas..that is the birth of Christ. I would like to share a nice prayer this season from Robert Louis Stevenson:

Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen.

Hip Hop Street Party

Last night was our company wide Christmas Party held at the Alpha Land South Gate Mall. We were requested to wear something hip hop because that was our theme for the night. Though I was a bit hesitant to wear something hippie, I still managed to look a bit like one but our division has a uniform tshirt. This party will be a memorable one because we expected to have a new management on board come January.
I don't know why but I had a strange feeling that night that something special will be announced!
We were one of the early birds so we gathered in the corner for a group shot.

And I'm right! They did announced something....but not the one that everybody was expecting (read:BONUS)... I won a 22 inches Devant LCD TV! Kutob, I'm really good at it.

The Nurse and the Scrubs

Nurses have uplifted the value of health care as the world goes old. The demand for these professional health attendants has been higher in most of the countries as the government seeks to savage the life of its citizens. The dedication of the nurses to its job is relentless, thus, they are worth giving the most comfortable yet chic apparel that they deserve. Their partners in crime – nursing uniforms!

Have you seen a lady walking down the hospital hall wearing suit scrubs that appear like she is strutting her PJs.. a big no no! Fashion has even invaded the world of nurses that innovation in designs is notable – from plain colors to printed patterns. Cheap scrub uniforms with smart touch are almost everywhere.
Best if she wears 100 cotton scrubs that console her comfort and ease in the middle of pressure and stress in her workplace.

It is good to know that there are manufacturers that give back the care to the nurses that even in simple dressing up, they are offered choices to feel good about what they wear. These scrubs are not just stylish – they go with the accessories like surgical caps. So, if you are a nurse and you think you need diversion of all the work challenges – grab your computer and order now online! What you see is what you get!

Hubert Webb was Acquitted!

The Supreme Court has acquitted the main suspects in the much publicized Vizconde massacre case, ending their years of burden for being incarcerated in jail.

Rather than closing the case that has gripped the hearts of a grieving husband and father and the whole nation, it has further provoked many questions, including: Who really killed Estrellita Vizconde and her daughters Carmela and Jennifer?

Voting 7 for acquittal, 4 to uphold the lower court ruling, and 4 abstentions, the high court has allowed Hubert Webb, the son of a former senator, and other scions of influential families to be freed.

The acquittal ruling bars the filing of an appeal as per the doctrine of double jeopardy.

Aside from Webb, the others ordered released are: Antonio "Tony Boy" Lejano, son of actress Pinky de Leon; Michael Gatchalian and Miguel Rodriguez, sons of prominent lawyers; Peter Estrada, son of a wealthy businessman; Pyke Fernandez, son of a retired commodore; Joey Filart, supposedly a relative of former Capital Region Command Chief Marino Filart, and Dong Ventura, son of a businessman.

Four magistrates inhibited: Associate Justices Antonio Carpio, Antonio Eduardo Nachura, Mariano del Castillo and Presbitero Velasco, Jr.

For many months, the nation waited for the decision of the Supreme Court following the failure of police authorities to present the one last evidence that could have further held Webb as the culpable party—the sperm specimen found in the body of Carmela. Click here for the complete story

I have no Twitter Account and I don't intend to have one (for now). I just got curious on the Buzz breaking news regarding Christine Reyes' intriguing tweets so I searched for her tweeter account which Charlene gave. They read on air some of her tweets but they have to cut it because obviously her tweets were for Sara Geronimo. Curious? Visit her Tweeter account:

Special Non Working Holidays

Yahoo! Special Non Working Holidays this coming Christmas week! December 25 and 27, 2010 are regular holidays; while 24 and 31 are special non-working days.

This was learned from Secretary Hermino "Sonny" Coloma of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), in a text message, after Executive Secretary Paquito "Jojo" N. Ochoa, Jr. cleared him to make public the December holidays per Proclamation No. 1841 issued by former President Gloria M. Arroyo on July 21, 2009.

According to the proclamation, aside from December 25 ? Christmas day, December 27 is also a regular holiday as the nearest Monday to December 30 ? Rizal Day.

In the same proclamation, December 24 was also declared as additional special non-working day in the country to "foster closer family ties and enable our countrymen to observe Christmas more meaningful".

With the long weekend, the government expects that this would help strengthen family relationships, renew ties for a longer period of time, and promote domestic tourism.

As the last day of year 2010, December 31 is also a special non-working day. source

Sarah Jessica Parker buys New York townhouse

The 'Sex and the City' actress - who has three children, James, eight, and 17-month-old twins, Tabitha and Marion, with husband Matthew Broderick - is moving from her current home in the West Village area of the city to 88 Central Park West.

According to The New York Observer newspaper, the new home - the former residence of philanthropist Laurie Tisch - features a 32-foot long living room, eight bedrooms, five bathrooms and five "half" bathrooms.

In addition, there are two walk-in wardrobes in the master bedroom of the property, which has seen its price drop by $3.5 million since August.

Although the purchase of the new house is believed to be complete, it comes after a long search to find a different New York home by Sarah Jessica and Matthew.

Earlier this year, they were believed to have been keen on a huge $24 million townhouse, as well as a penthouse on 54 Bond Street.

They were also rumoured to be interested in Madonna's old home in Central Park West, but nothing happened because the co-operative board of the building were angry about the 'Celebration' singer's constant noisy construction work.
