Obama's Nobel Peace Prize

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama. It was known that many objected to award him the Nobel Peace Prize because they still oversees wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and has launched deadly counter-terror strikes in Pakistan Somalia.

Thus, many were still shocked by the unexpected choice of the President of less than a year in his term, Barack Obama. He won because of his stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilaterism.
