North Park

Before Friday last week, Niko and I agreed to take our lunch at Hap Chan, it seems like ages since the last time I have eaten there. I asked her if my boss can tag along (her former boss too). But something came up that we decided to eat in a nearby restaurant and North Park is the best choice. Actually, we received a birthday treat from a very generous blogger (itago na lang natin sya sa pangalang Amy..shhhhh).
We ordered sweet and sour fish fillet lapu-lapu, their best seller fried chicken, beef broccoli, salted garlic squid (my favorite) and of course this would not be complete without the yang chao fried rice.

Scrapbook Designing

I was tasked to prepare a teaser at the office regarding Cost Savings Initiative that's why I bought two new CD's (Corel and Scrapbook Designer) last week. I did it first in Power point presentation and presented it to our artist, of course his work of art is far different from mine. I haven't tried the Corel but last night I tried Keepsakes designer and here's how it resulted:

Happy Father's Day

How a mother's love can soothe pain.
But little has been said about a father's concern,
So..now....I think it must be his turn.

A Father's love for his offspring,
Is just like that of a solid gold ring.
No matter what, it is unending,
Never breaking, though... sometimes bending.

His love is as strong as a mother's, although...
Due to his personality, it sometimes doesn't show.
There is no question of how strong..
Or if its lasting...however long.

So no matter if his child is good or bad,
There is no LOVE stronger, than that of a DAD.

Makoy's Birthday

Makoy is celebrating his birthday today! I promised bringing him to the mall this weekend because mommy is out for work today. Makoy has already changed a lot, all our neighbors before knew when he has his tantrums (because of his really irritating wails). He now eats rice thrice a day (thanks to daddy) . He's very bubbly now, he laughs as if there's no more tomorrow. You should see him watching comedy shows because he really buys them a lot! He's a good dancer and a great singer too. How I wish his two front teeth will come out soon. I love you Koy, Happy Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It’s hubby’s birthday on Sunday! But I decided to post this earlier because we’ll be very busy in the next couple of days. His birthday coincides with our Town Fiesta (Fertility Dance in Obando) you're all invited!

Dearest Daddy,
As we grow older, our realizations about life becomes deeper, problems get bigger, situations become more complicated…It's been almost 15 years that we've been together including the years that we've been steady. Thank you for being the best dad to our 2 kids, I know how much you treasure and missed them so much. Thank God you will celebrate your birthday here with us. We want to thank you for bearing the sacrifices from being away with us.... to provide us a better life. Three long years is really a lot of sacrifice, frustration and dealing with homesickness. I just hope we will have the opportunity to be complete again soon. I may not be the best wife in the world but I promise to fulfill all my duties. We may have misunderstandings and differences to share but we have more memorable experiences and happy moments together. I wish for a continuous guidance from our Lord Almighty, that we may continue to have a strong relationship even we are seas apart. Happy Birthday Lavaduds! See you on Friday! I Love you!

Advance Mother's Day Gift

I'm so happy to receive an advance Mother's Day gift from one of my mentors here, the very generous and beautiful mom Niko. She transferred some of her 'M dollars to my paypal account (hmmm...she really knows my needs! LOL! a laptop..weeee! more!!! ).
